Kinsman Notch



The climbs of Kinsman Notch are a short but strenuous hike from the roadside of route 112. This elevated ice wall provides excellent shelter and spectacular views. VICE enjoys climbing at Kinsman with groups of all sizes and experience levels. Every season we look forward to visiting Kinsman to test ourselves on the short climbs with unique features and challenges. There are a number of areas associated with Kinsman. The 'Irish' routes offer excellent top roping opportunities with pillars, bulges, and icicles. Left of this area is where the 'Beast' lives. The Beast is a massive wall that can only be conquered by a strong and focused climber. There are countless more routes hidden in the depths of Kinsman just waiting to be climbed.
